This striking Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose crested cutting is a highly unusual collector’s specimen, combining the unpredictable growth of a monstrose form with the distinctive fan-like development of cristate growth. Instead of producing a conventional column, this cutting has developed into a fascinating, heavily distorted structure with broad, folded ridges and numerous irregular growing points.
The blue-green surface is particularly attractive, with pronounced vertical folds running through the main crested sections before breaking into clusters of smaller, rounded monstrose growth. New growth points emerge unpredictably from the edges and sides, creating an intricate, almost sculptural appearance. The contrast between the smooth, deeply ribbed crest and the knobbly, convoluted side growth makes this an especially unusual form of Trichocereus bridgesii.
