A striking, mature Astrophytum asterias ‘Super Kabuto’ featuring exceptionally dense white flecking across the body, creating the intricate patterned appearance for which this highly sought-after cultivar is known. The contrasting deep green epidermis and heavy white markings give this specimen plenty of character and make it a standout addition to any Astrophytum collection.
This specimen is permanently grafted onto established Trichocereus pachanoi rootstock. The vigorous rootstock provides a strong root system and supports faster, more robust growth than would typically be expected from an A. asterias growing on its own roots. Unlike a temporary Pereskiopsis graft intended primarily for rapid juvenile growth, this plant is offered as a permanent graft and can be maintained on its existing rootstock long term.
The established scion is already a substantial size and has developed a beautifully rounded form with pronounced ribs and mature markings. An excellent specimen for collectors looking for a larger Super Kabuto with the added vigour and reliability of established T. pachanoi rootstock.
