A striking Ferocactus peninsulae with an impressive, heavily spined appearance. This specimen has a strong, compact form with prominent ribs and a beautiful blue-green body, complemented by an exceptional display of long, slender spines.

The spines are particularly attractive on this individual, showing shades of pink, red, cream and golden brown, with several dramatically curved and hooked spines extending from the areoles. The contrast between the colourful spination and the green epidermis gives this plant a wonderfully distinctive appearance.

This is a particularly characterful specimen, with naturally varied spine development across the plant and a well-defined rib structure. The long, sweeping spines give it a much more dramatic appearance than many younger Ferocactus specimens.

A fantastic addition to a specialist collection, this Ferocactus peninsulae would make an excellent choice for collectors looking for an unusual and strongly spined Mexican cactus with plenty of individuality.
