A substantial and exceptionally useful specimen of Pereskiopsis spathulata, offering an impressive amount of established growth, with the tallest stems reaching over 40cm in height. This well-developed plant features numerous upright stems, fresh green growth and an abundance of healthy leaves, making it an excellent opportunity for cactus collectors and growers looking to acquire a generous supply of this highly valued species.
Pereskiopsis spathulata is particularly sought after by specialist cactus growers for its remarkable growth rate and versatility as grafting stock. Unlike conventional cactus rootstocks, Pereskiopsis retains its leaves and grows rapidly during the warmer months, making it especially useful for grafting seedlings and encouraging young, slow-growing or difficult-to-grow cacti to develop more quickly.
An excellent choice for grafting enthusiasts, this substantial specimen provides multiple stems that can potentially be used for grafting projects or propagated to establish additional plants. It is particularly popular for working with small cactus seedlings, including specialist and collectible species, where its vigorous growth can be a real advantage.
Beyond its practical value, Pereskiopsis spathulata is an interesting plant in its own right, with slender green stems, distinctive fleshy leaves and a branching growth habit. This specimen has developed into a sizeable, multi-stemmed plant, offering considerably more material than a small individual cutting.
Whether you're an experienced grafting enthusiast looking to expand your growing operation or a collector wanting to experiment with propagation techniques, this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a substantial, established plant with plenty of potential.
