Ferocactus wislizeni, commonly known as the Arizona Barrel Cactus, is a striking barrel-form cactus prized for its impressive ribbing and densely arranged, colourful spines. This species develops a robust, rounded to slightly elongated form, with a deep green to blue-green body that contrasts beautifully with its prominent areoles.

The spines are a particular feature of this species, ranging from yellow and golden tones to reddish or pinkish hues. With age, the spines can become increasingly impressive, creating the dramatic, heavily armed appearance that makes mature Ferocactus such sought-after collector plants.

This specimen is a fantastic choice for collectors looking for a classic Ferocactus with strong form, excellent spine development and plenty of character. Its architectural shape and intricate spine arrangement make it an eye-catching addition to any specialist cactus collection.

Caution: Toxic if eaten.
