The Stenocereus griseus cv. ‘Phil McCracken’ cutting is an exceptionally rare and distinctive cultivar, prized for its unusual sculptural appearance and highly collectable nature. It develops a striking columnar form with broad, strongly defined ribs that give the body a pronounced, almost architectural structure. The ribs are irregularly undulating rather than perfectly straight, creating deep grooves and raised ridges that run vertically along the length of the stem.

The epidermis has an attractive blue-green to grey-green colour, with a naturally muted, slightly frosted appearance that contrasts beautifully with the pale spines. The combination of the glaucous colouring, prominent ribbing and irregular contours gives this cultivar a particularly characterful appearance, with each section of growth developing its own subtle variations.

The areoles are positioned along the ribs and produce clusters of fine, needle-like spines. These range from pale cream to golden tones and project outwards from the stem, creating a delicate but striking spiny silhouette. The contrast between the soft blue-green body and the lighter spination makes the plant especially eye-catching.

This listing is for a cutting of the extremely rare ‘Phil McCracken’ cultivar, making it a fantastic opportunity for collectors of unusual and hard-to-find Stenocereus genetics. Its combination of rarity, distinctive ribbing, unusual colouring and sculptural growth makes it a particularly exciting addition to a specialist cactus collection.
